May 2019: A Mother’s Day Devotional:
Treasures of the Darkness
With Mother’s Day just a week away, I wanted to share a devotional that I recently wrote. My friend, Erica, is a pastor’s wife. While we were chatting a while back, she shared with me that she was working on a devotional for her ladies for Mother’s Day. She told me that the verse was Isaiah 45:3. She did preface it with, “It is not your normal Mother’s Day verse.”
Well, that got my attention! Before I knew it, my mind had kicked into gear and I had written a devotional for that verse … Treasures of the Darkness: Finding Riches in my Secret Place with the Son!

Decoration ideas: Treasure chests with feminine-looking treasure. Chocolate covered gold foil coins can be spread down the center of the tables as well.
Game idea: Maybe “Digging for Treasure” and have two “chests” with some sort of filling (maybe even sand) and have the candy gold coins hidden and you can have a relay to see who can find the coin(s) the fastest.
